Dear 2026 Prep Families,
We are so pleased to begin the Prep Transition program next term, and we look forward to meeting all our new Preps and families. Each Thursday, beginning October 23rd, students will come to the Prep classrooms for initially one hour and the time will increase throughout the term.
During transition, we will be touring the school grounds and doing some activities in the classroom. This will help us get to know your child. Mel Davidge will be running the Prep Transition program.
You can bring your child onsite to the Prep classrooms and pick them up from the same location. While your child is doing the Transition Program, you are welcome to attend the parent information sessions which are being run in the staffroom.
Please bring a named hat and a named drink bottle to each Transition session:
In addition to LLPS’s Prep Transition Days, your child will also attend the State Wide Transition Day. On this day grade 6 students will go to their high schools and all kinder students will attend their primary schools for 2026.
Your child will learn which room will be their classroom, meet their classroom teacher and see the other students in their class on this day.
State Wide Transition Day is on Tuesday 9th December from 9.00am-12.30pm.
