CHILD SAFETY AND WELLBEING AT LANG LANG PRIMARY SCHOOL: INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES AND THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY
The Victorian Government has announced new Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools.  The new standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.

Lang Lang Primary School continuously reviews and updates our policies and procedures to ensure they meet current requirements.  Our policies are available download and view below and at the school's front office.

We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices.

If you have any suggestions, comments or questions related to the policies, please contact us via email.

Medical Problems
If your child suffers from asthma or anaphylaxis you will need to have an Medical Plan completed by your child’s doctor,  and kept on file at the school.

If your child has a potentially serious medical condition or allergy, please contact the office to discuss a Student Medical Condition Management Plan so that we can provide the best possible care for your child.
All tablets/medicine and directions must be taken to the office and must be in its original packaging. If your child requires medicine to be administered at school please ensure the Medication Request form is completed and returned to the school.

When a child is diagnosed as having an infectious disease they have to be excluded from school according to the guidelines set out in the Education Department Exclusions table.
Click here for the Exclusions Table.

Accidents or Illness
Where possible, parents will be contacted by phone if their child is seriously injured or becomes ill. Therefore it is important for families to keep our records up to date with phone numbers and emergency contacts.  In an emergency,Ambulance services will be contacted to transport children to the nearest medical centre or hospital.  It would be in all parents' best interest to have an ambulance subscription to cover any costs associated with this transport.
