reading

writing

Our Reading Program is strategically designed to meet the individual learning needs of our students, focusing on becoming an effective reader by maximising opportunities to build engagement and understanding of texts. For more information click here.
Writing is an integral part of learning and all learning teams across the school use a whole school approach to explicitly teach writing skills across a wide range of genres. For more information click here.

mathematics

visual & performing arts

Mathematics at our school is developed around the investigation approach. This allows students to experience real world maths and develop a variety of strategies to assist them in solving problems. We have two highly trained Primary Maths and Science Specialists who oversee the planning and implementation of mathematics within our classrooms. For more information click here.
We have a large art room and music space at our school which students have access to on a weekly basis. Our program is designed to promote creativity in our students. For more information click here.

Auslan

PE/Health

All students across our school participate in weekly AUSLAN lessons where we are learning to communicate with deaf and hard of hearing people.
In Health and Physical Education, students develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to strengthen their sense of self, and build and manage satisfying relationships. The curriculum helps them to be resilient, and to make decisions and take actions to promote their health, safety and physical activity participation.

School wide positive behaviour (SWPB)

School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS) is a whole school approach to creating a safe and supportive environment. We utilise Positive Psychology principles to create a calm and orderly environment for learning and improve student outcomes.  For more information click here.
